A Midwest Memorial to the Unborn
Since 1973 abortion has been the law of the land and 45 million babies have been
aborted and 45 million women have been wounded by abortion. The number of total
persons wounded in America by abortion is staggering. Men, parents, spouses,
grandparents, siblings, and friends.
aborted and 45 million women have been wounded by abortion. The number of total
persons wounded in America by abortion is staggering. Men, parents, spouses,
grandparents, siblings, and friends.
It is apparent after nearly 34 years of legalized abortion in America that this
procedure has effected almost every family in America in one way or another.
Unfortunately few of these wounded individuals have sought spiritual healing.
Some have gone to the medical professionals for depression. Others have resorted to
drugs or alcohol to numb their memories.
The loss of a child is an enormous burden for humans to carry. Since our country
has condoned the killing of these most innocent and helpless children and since there are
medical professionals who will administer abortions, we have helped individuals enter
into a state of great guilt, endless regret and hopelessness. They feel betrayed by the laws
of the land and by a medical professional who is supposed to save lives and administer
healing. In abortion both of these have been violated and have caused great inner turmoil
for the parents of the children who were aborted.
The most basic need for someone who has lost a child is a place to mourn their
loss. But post abortive individuals have no place to go to mourn. That is why Christians
for Life is committed to building a Midwest Memorial to the Unborn in Topeka,
Kansas.
Land has been donated and blue prints for this memorial are in the works now.
Christians for Life believe that this endeavor has been put on our hearts by the Holy
Spirit.
We believe abortion is one of the most; if not the most horrific sins of the last
century. We believe that our society as a whole is paying a high cost because of abortion.
If a baby in the womb is fair game to be eliminated, who will be the next American citizen
to be destroyed, the elderly, the handicapped or the mentally ill? Where will this
slippery slope end?
We believe that EVERY LIFE COUNTS. We believe that God has named every
child in the womb. We believe that those aborted children are safe in the arms of our
loving Savior Jesus Christ.
The first step to healing for Post Abortive Women is to name their unborn child.
Christians for Life has counseled with many women and led them through this initial step.
It literally sets them free to grieve.
We believe that a midwest memorial would lead Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado,
Missouri and Oklahoma into an era of healing that would give names to these un-named
children. We believe that as individuals name these children and place their names on a
memorial wall at the Midwest Memorial for the Unborn the Almighty will look down
approvingly and begin the much needed healing of wounded families.
The memorial would also be a place for families who have experienced
miscarriages or still births to memorialize their babies as well.
